This building is located in the historic centre of Beaune, where the urban fabric is dense and homogeneous in terms of scale, typology and materials. The aim of the project is to insert a new urban singularity into a protected built context by reinterpreting the window: its embrasure, sill and lintel. The aim is to pay homage to the local heritage, take up the challenge of densification and urban regeneration and, above all, not freeze the town and its development. This stone monolith redefines the interior volume, homogenise facades, offering views and providing more zenithal light.
